Help a Foster Family Love More Kids
Donation protected
The Spear family has a heart to foster abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Palm Beach County. In order to continue their ministry to foster kids and take on more, they'll need a larger vehicle, as their current vehicle is at maximum capacity.
One of the first sibling groups that came into their home had come from a group home. The staff there thought that the children must not speak English, since over the course of a month they never heard them talk, and assumed they could only speak Creole. After a single day in the loving home that the Spear family provided, both 4 year old sister and 2 year old brother were happily talking and babbling. For the first time in a month they felt loved and safe.

The Spear's ministry to foster kids has not come to them with out personal cost, both emotionally and financially. They are a one car family in need of a 12 passenger van to be able to transport their family all together in one vehicle. This will also allow them to take on more foster children, foster sibling groups, and provide respite care to other foster families. Recently, when opportunities have arisen to take more children, they have had to turn them away, because they don't have adequate transportation.
Not everyone is called to take a foster child into their heart and their home, but some friends of Kayla and Steve believe that everyone can help. The call to care for orphans and widows, echoed throughout Scripture, is incumbent upon us today. We may not see children begging in the streets like you might in some parts of the world, but there are children desperately in need of a safe haven, like a home with a sweet family who will love them and take care of them.

You can help the Spear's get the van they need and take care of more foster children by doing two things: 1) donating whatever amount you feel led 2) sharing this campaign on social media and encouraging others to do the same. In doing so, you will help Kayla and Steve continue their ministry to foster kids in South Florida. The next child who finds refuge in their home will thank you. <3
