Help a Former Amish Farmer Save His Organic Farm
Donation protected
My name is Amos, and I’m a farmer, a father of six, and someone doing everything I can to hold on to a dream I’ve nearly lost twice.
I started as a dairy farmer in Pennsylvania. Like many others, I was crushed by years of unsustainably low milk prices. Still, I kept pushing forward. My father purchased a second farm where I could restart farming with different source of income. I moved, determined to grow healthy food and build an organic operation that would truly heal the land and feed people right.
But organic transition wasn’t enough to turn things around. Despite all my effort, I wasn’t making enough to support my family.
Few years later, I also came to find peace in Jesus. I made the decision to leave the Amish faith—an incredibly hard step that cost me the support of those I’d depended on. When I left, the Amish trustee who had been helping me financially pulled back completely, forcing the liquidation of my farming equipment. I was left on my own.
Since then, I’ve worked away from home just to survive. But the debt from those farming years still eats up most of what I make. I’ve got six children, and I dream of raising them on the farm—not just to live, but to learn, work, and thrive beside me.
My wife is often overwhelmed managing everything alone—finances, children, and the weight of our future. It’s hard on her, and hard on us.
And yet, I still believe. I believe this farm can be saved. I believe this land can provide. I believe I can help others who are struggling, too.
That’s why I’m asking for help.
I’m raising $1,000,000 to:
Buy the farm I’ve poured my life into, before it slips away for good. (my Amish dad currently owns it and is restricting me from farming if I'm not Amish, although he will let me farm and help me more if I return to Amish)
Pay off crippling farm debt that’s taking most of my income
Invest in organic fencing, animal care, and sustainable infrastructure
Rebuild a life where I can work from home and raise my kids on the land
Eventually help other struggling farmers transition or survive
This is about more than land—it’s about restoring a future. A future where family, faith, and food come together to create something lasting and good.
If you’ve ever believed in second chances, or in the value of honest, local food, I hope you’ll consider standing with me.
Every gift matters. Every share helps.
Thank you for your kindness, and may God bless you.
