Hey fellow wargamers, my name is Matt.

I’m reaching out to ask for your help in supporting my good friend Evan, a passionate member of our Warhammer community, who recently lost nearly his entire collection in a devastating house fire. Thankfully, Evan, his wife, and their dog made it out safely — but as you’ll see from the photos, most of their home, including his dedicated Warhammer room, was completely destroyed.

Among the losses was a Greater Unclean One model I had painted for him — a piece that meant a lot to both of us. It was melted beyond recognition in the fire, and seeing it like that broke my heart.

Evan would never ask for help himself, so I’m doing this on his behalf. I’ve started this fundraiser with an initial donation of $1000 and am hoping others in the community will join me in helping him begin to rebuild his collection.

All donations will go toward:

• Replacing the destroyed Greater Unclean One (which I will repaint and gift to him again)

• Restoring some of his favorite models

• Covering painting services, supplies, and replacement miniatures

Warhammer has always been more than just a game to me — it’s a source of connection, healing, and shared passion. Let’s show Evan that this community stands together in tough times, and that no hobbyist has to rebuild alone.

I’ll be posting updates on the model’s restoration and how your support is helping Evan. Let’s put a smile back on a fellow hobbyist’s face and help him get back to the game and the community he loves.
