Help A Father of 6 Clear Rent Arrears

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

I’m reaching out on behalf of my uncle who is currently facing a difficult financial situation. He reached out to me for help but I am not in a position to aid him hence why I decided to do this fundraiser.

He has fallen behind on the rent payments and now owes £2,150. Without immediate support, they risk losing their home.

My uncle lives in a developing country where resources are limited, and despite his best efforts to make ends meet, he has been unable to cover the rent. He is a T1 diabetic & has not been able to secure stable work.

As such, his priority is to ensure his family & him have a secure place to stay, as this stability is crucial for his well-being. I have spoken to other family members to verify his situation as well as a few local residents who have all confirmed that he has nothing to live on & has been struggling for a while.

My first goal is to help him clear his rent arrears so that he can get back on his feet بإذن الله. Once that target is reached, I intend to leave the fundraiser open for donations so as to facilitate medication for him. In the meantime, I will personally be going to local pharmacies to find out the cost of his diabetes medication ان شاء الله.

As our Prophet ﷺ said, “The one who does not show mercy to the people, Allah will not show mercy to him.”

(Sahih al-Bukhari, 7376; Sahih Muslim, 2319). This Hadith teaches us that Allah’s mercy upon us is tied to how merciful we are towards others. Giving sadaqah is a practical expression of mercy because you are giving to someone who is less fortunate than you & showing compassion for the hardship they face.

The same Hadith also warns us against being negligent/ indifferent in our being merciful to others as the absence of mercy towards others surely leads to our losing out on the mercy of Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

If you cannot contribute, please share this fundraiser with others; those who call others to do good, receive the reward of doing the same as the doer ie you get the reward from Allah for contributing & every person who contributes as a result of your sharing, you will be rewarded for & Our Lord is Al-Karim (The Generous), Al-Ghaniyy (The Rich/Self-Sufficient).

May Allah سبحانه وتعالى increase us all from His bounty, never make us of those who are removed from His Mercy ﷻ & accept this charity from all who contribute in any way shape or form- اللهم آمين.
