Help a Father Defend His Parental Rights
Donation protected
For nearly seven years, Max is fighting to stay present in the lives of his two young daughters. He faces this battle alone, representing himself in courtrooms across Arizona and Texas, up against experienced attorneys and a system that often feels stacked against fathers. Despite every challenge, he never gives up on his girls or his rights as a father.
For the last three years, the in state daughter has spent three days a week with us, which includes my two children, making us a family of five. We do everything we can to shield her from the conflict. Still, she asks questions no child should have to ask—why her parents can’t get along, why her dad can’t come to family events that are special to her, and why things are so hard. We always reassure her that she is loved by both sides, even as her mother and her sister’s mother team up to make things more difficult. Throughout this process, both mothers have made unsubstantiated and false accusations against Max as a strategy to weaponize the courts and create parental alienation. These accusations have not only made it harder for him to maintain a relationship with his daughters, but the defamation has deeply affected his immediate family and also changed how his community sees him—including doctors, schools, teachers, the legal system, employers, and his peers. Every investigation shows our home is safe and loving, and Max has no criminal record. He is someone who loves to serve his community, but the damage to his reputation has been significant. His daughter in Arizona is now seeing her time with her dad reduced because of these unsubstantiated and false accusations. His other daughter, meanwhile, hasn’t seen her dad in over three years, despite a court ruling that allowed supervised visits.
The financial stress of this fight has been overwhelming for the last seven years. His original attorney abandoned him just three months before a critical court date in Texas. No other attorney would take the case without a high fee or because there wasn’t enough time to review a case that is seven years old. That left him with no choice but to go pro-per and represent himself, fighting for his daughters and his rights alone. Legal fees, travel expenses for court dates and supervised visits, and the ongoing costs of defending his rights as a father have taken a heavy toll. The mothers continue to resist any progress, making it even harder to move forward.
We rely on people’s generosity to be able to continue this long fight for Max’s rights as a father. Your donations will be used to hire a skilled family law attorney who understands both Arizona and Texas law and is an advocate for fathers' rights, cover ongoing legal expenses, and pay for the travel and supervised visits that are required for Max to reunify and rebuild his relationship with his out of state daughter, and to maintain the relationship with his in state daughter, who now requires counseling and defend his rights as a father. Every child deserves a healthy relationship with both parents, and every child needs their dad. Your support helps bring stability, love, and hope back into their lives, and gives Max the chance to be the present, loving, and protective father his daughters truly know.
