My family and I have been struggling financially for the past couple of years, ever since my dad was let go from his job. I am 16, my parents are in their 50s, and my brother is 19. My mom and dad are medically not well, and neither am I. I have an unknown disease where I have bad stomach and intestinal issues after I eat. My mother had invasive surgery in January due to sepsis and almost died. She also has spinal issues which keep her from working. My father is diabetic and has sleep issues. Along with his age, finding a new job has been difficult. my brother is autistic which has made his job hunt difficult. Both my dad and brother are doordashing, but it's only enough to get groceries (but too much to qualify for assistance). We also took in a young friend of my brother's (mother died and father abused him). He is working part time and looking for another job. My mother's disability pays our rent, but it is not enough to pay utilities. Currently our water has been turned off. Electricity will be next. I would love more than anything to help our family pay our bills and keep living in our home.
