UPDATE:  We raised a total of $5315. 48, which was given to the family today.  They wish to express their deep gratitude for your donation, as they struggle to pay the huge bills put upon them at this time.  They are quite blown away by the help and compassion shown to them, and I feel really proud of all of us!  Thank you!!!

A father in our community was taken by ICE a few days before Christmas as he dropped a friend off at the courthouse.  I am not using any of their names, to protect them.  They have two small children, 6 and 3.  He was detained for over a month, and has been released on a $10,000 bond that was borrowed.  This hardworking family is trying to navigate the legal system with very little English.

We are raising money to cover the $10,000 bond fee so this family can focus on what they need to do for both parents to stay in the United States with their children.  100% of money raised goes to his bond.  Thank you to all of you who have contributed food, money and time to help support this family. The family has been awed and overwhelmed by the incredible compassion of this community.
