I have a friend whose family moved here in the USA from Dubai in 2023 to find a better opportunity. Marlito, the head of the family has been relocated to work here through a working visa with a company whom he worked for 7 years in Dubai alongside with his family.

In 2024, he started to suffer from severe depression due to the negative effects of their transition, and his salary has not been able to fully support the whole household which led to severe anxiety.

His wife Cathy and his children are under his visa status where his wife is not be able to support and find a job because her visa doesn’t allow her to work. In her stay here in the USA, she served and volunteered in the church ministry as a worship leader and a prayer warrior for the City of LA, along with their children, Caithlin, Caisee and Caila, who were also involved in the community volunteering work.

Unfortunately, for a family of five, going back home to the Philippines without enough money to cover for their air tickets and moving expenses, is a big challenge.

Also, the problem is not only to cover their exit expenses but also to help them re-start again from the bottom.
