My name is Emily and I’m asking you to help me help a family of four from Mexico. They’re seeking asylum in Toronto after being targets of gang violence in their hometown in central Mexico. They arrived in Canada in October and have been living in a shelter since then. Their children are 4 and 6 years old. The 4 year old is my son’s friend from daycare, which is how I came to meet the family.

They will be moving into an apartment this coming week but have limited funds and no furnishings. They would be so grateful, and I would be so grateful, for any donations.
