help a family in the infertility community

Hey yall, my name is Elise Dean and I am raising money for a community that is so close to my heart. As many of you know, my husband Carl and I have had a very difficult journey trying to start a family. 4 years, 3 clinics, 4 rounds of IVF (in-vitro fertilization), 3 miscarriages, 2 failed embryo transfers, countless procedures and surgerys, and hundreds of thousands of dollars later, we are finally pregnant!! I have shared our story on my social media page over the last 4 years and have had the blessing of connecting with other infertility warriors all over the world.

Words can't describe the suffering and pain that come with navigating infertility. Going through IVF places a burden and a strain of every single aspect of your life - emotionally, physically, financially, socially. Without the financial support of my parents, Carl and I would be in a massive amount of debt in our efforts to start a family. The cost of one round of IVF is around 20k+, medications for an IVF cycle cost roughly 3-5k, and a single embryo transfer is about 5-7k and insurance doesn't usually cover anything as reproductive technology is not considered "medically necessary", which is absolute bullshit if you ask me (excuse my language). Unfortunately, like Carl and I, many couples have to go through several rounds of IVF and fertility treatments prior to reaching success, which is why I wanted to start this fundraiser. I don't believe a couple should have to go into debt just to make their dreams of becoming parents come true.

For my 30th birthday, I have a goal of raising $30,000 to giveaway to a family in need. I will have couples send in their stories to me and will choose a family in need to receive the money we raise. If we raise over 30k, I will choose multiple families. Thank you for supporting me in being able to bless a community that I love with all my heart.
