Help A Family In Need Pay For Daniel’s Funeral Expenses

On February 29th, 2024, my father passed away. He was a lover of classic rock music, a passionate learner, a better teacher, an aircraft technician, a tile layer, a barbeque master, a protector of his family, a man of many skills, a welder, a woodworker, he was all of that and more to us. We took him to the hospital on February 10th because he had been very confused and disoriented during the days prior. He had gotten to this condition due to a lifetime of heavy drinking. He had struggled with an alcohol addiction because of childhood trauma and prided himself for cutting down from three 40oz bottles to a single 40oz bottle a night. The damage had been done sadly. His passing was caused by an irreversible brain bleed, it occurred on the night of the 28th. He was declared medically braindead, there was nothing the hospital nor us could have done. It was with heavy hearts that we made the decision to pull him off life support. We pulled the plug because keeping him living as a vegetable would've been so cruel, he would've suffered in a body he had no control of. For 19 hard days my dad fought a brutal uphill battle, one that he would ultimately lose. During his 19-day battle he was unconscious for the first week and a half. My mom Marcela, my sister Marissa and myself visited him every day. We would visit him and hold his hand, tell things to his ear when he was unconscious, and later when he was more responsive, we'd tell him about our day. I had high hopes on his recovery, but we were informed too late that given the condition of his liver, it would've been better to send him home to pass peacefully. My dad was always superstitious, he believed that all bad things come at the end, and in a way predicted his own death occurring at the end of the month. I ask any who can help, to spread the word or donate to us so we may pay the funeral expenses and additionally purchase a headstone for my father. My mother makes only $16k a year as a home health provider as she takes care of my paralyzed cousin. We've been the subject of lies by my malicious aunt, she was my dad's sister. They are religious pretenders, hypocrites. She is of the belief that if they prayed enough, all ~40 years of hard drinking would've been reversed, and he would be healed miracle style. She fails to understand that pulling the plug was a merciful decision, keeping him alive any longer would have prolonged his suffering. To make matters worse, my dad's side of the family refuses to give any help to us. They've provided in total $300 - the headstone is $5,000 and the funeral expenses are $8,500. My father along with my brother and I would help my aunt and grandma move places 3 times, unpaid. I fixed their plumbing on several occasions. We've helped their side so much during my dad's life, and they refuse to help us, and cast lies now that my family is going through a hard time. I ask humbly for help, for I cannot turn to the brothers and sisters of my father for help.
