Jessica Britany Watkins, despite many attempts to enter this world sooner, made her official appearance, Monday, January 5, 1987. She was the younger sister to Danielle, the older sister to Joshua, Samantha, and Margie. Jessica’s path, these past 33 years, has been her own. She was head-strong with a wounded, yet unbelievably tender heart. She made her own home, family and life with Anthony Pena, the love of her life.
None of us understand, but Jessica left us far too soon, Wednesday May 20th. Although we are so very uncertain about tomorrow, the next day, and every day thereafter, we do know that Anthony, along with Jessica’s sweet babies, Peyton (12), Mason (4) and London (2) will face many challenges as they navigate their forever altered lives.
A celebration of Jessica's life will take place 10am Friday, June 5th at Living Word Bible Church: 3520 E Brown Rd, Mesa, AZ 85213.
In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate assistance to Jessica’s precious grieving family, Anthony, Peyton, Mason and London.
As Jessica’s mother, my heart is shattered along with her father, Danny, and Mark, who spent many years co-parenting Jessica and her siblings, while we all navigated the complexity of a blended family. Our grief is shared by so many: Danny’s wife, Alyce, Mark's wife Lucy– Jessica’s aunts; uncles and her “Care Bear Cousins”, her three forever best friends, Christina, Brittney, and Chantel, and the family that welcomed her – Anthony’s mother Elena, Anthony’s (5) brothers and (3) sisters, and his grandmother. We know there are many others, not named, and we appreciate all the love, prayers and hugs from each of you.
We love you Jessica.
