Hello, my name is Norma, and I’m writing this from Guatemala with a heart full of pain and hope.

Life has been very hard for my family. Years ago, my husband had a terrible motorcycle accident that left him disabled. Since then, everything has been a struggle. He used to be strong and active, but now he depends on me for almost everything.

We have an 11-year-old son, a sweet child who tries to be brave, but he feels the sadness and fear of what we’re going through. He asks me if things will get better, and I try to smile for him — even when I’m falling apart inside.

Recently, I lost my job, and things have become unbearable. We’ve already sold and pawned everything we could just to have food. There are days we simply don’t have anything to eat.

I never thought I would have to ask for help like this, but I’m desperate to give my family a chance to survive. We need support for food, medicine, and basic needs — anything that can help us get through this dark time.
