No One Should Be Homeless for the Holidays

EMERGENCY NEED

There is a homeless, elderly, and disabled family living in a shed here in our county. I wish this wasn’t true, but the number of times I have run into this is just unacceptable!

No running water or electricity. No actual toilet to use.

Social services are just now getting involved, but until approved there is no more food to get through the weekend for this family. The shed is on the property with a very dangerous family member and homeowner who holds leverage of essentials by a power cord.

Hope is on the way.

They just need to get through the next few weeks while they are in line for safe housing and assistance.

I have verified all sources. I have seen evidence of their “home.”

Community, y’all have come out strong as a united village before.

What can we do?

Who can we count on to help?

I know it is after Christmas and we’re all watching our budget, but do you have an extra $5 or $10 to spare to see to it this weekend provides a better ending for them?
