My name is Abdelfattah, and like thousands of families in Gaza, my life has been devastated by the ongoing war. Overnight, everything I once depended on—my home, my job, and my community—was taken from me. I now live with my wife and our 4-year-old son, trying every day to protect them and provide for them, despite having no stable source of income and no safe place to call home.
Since the beginning of the war, we have been displaced multiple times, forced to flee from one location to another simply to stay alive. For several months, we lived in a tent, enduring extreme weather, lack of privacy, insecurity, and the constant fear of not knowing what tomorrow might bring. During this time, we also suffered heartbreaking losses: many of our relatives, neighbors, and friends were killed, including people we loved dearly. Their absence continues to weigh heavily on us.
Life has only become more difficult. I lost my job due to the destruction and the collapse of the local economy, leaving me without any income. Every day has become a struggle to secure the most basic needs—food, clean water, medicine, and safe shelter.
Recently, after displacement became unbearable for my family and we permanently lost our home—the one place where we once felt safe—I had no choice but to rent a small space. Although it is very small, the cost is extremely high: $500 per month, an amount I cannot sustain without help. Yet it is the only place where my family can have even a small sense of security and dignity.
I am launching this GoFundMe campaign with hope and a humble heart, asking for your support. Your contribution—no matter how small—can help us in the following essential ways:
• Rent:
Help us keep the small room we are renting, the only safe space we have left after losing our home.
• Food and Clean Water:
Support us in buying basic food and drinking water as famine and shortages make daily survival extremely difficult.
• Medicine:
Allow us to access essential medical supplies for my family, especially for my young son.
• Basic Needs:
Help us cover daily necessities such as hygiene items and other essentials that bring a small sense of dignity and stability.
Please consider supporting us during this dark and painful moment. Your generosity can truly make a difference—it can help us survive, heal, and one day rebuild our lives.
Thank you deeply for your compassion, your prayers, and your support.
