Help a disabled Vet get to his daughter’s wedding
Donation protected
Rick Phelan is a disabled Marine Corp veteran with a debilitating neurological condition- has one wish left in life- to be at his daughter’s wedding.
Rick was a marine for 8 years and was in federal law enforcement for 6 years. He worked in restaurants in Boston and San Francisco until 2020 when he had to stop working because of the pandemic and because of his new diagnosis: Cerebral amyloid angiopathy. The disease is very similar to early onset Alzheimer’s. The prognosis life expectancy is 60, Rick is currently 58.
Rick has suffered seizures, memory loss and is unable to return to work.
His daughter Kiersti Phelan lives in Hawaii and is getting married there next month on May 13th. There isn’t much time and Rick needs expensive medical help to travel in order to be there.
Please help him fulfill his dream.
To answer a couple questions:
His daughter lives on Hawaii, so this isn’t a “destination” wedding.
Nonetheless it’s very expensive and these are last minute bookings.
