Help a Disabled Senior Get Back on His Feet

Long story short, this all started on the first day of the recent storm that turned into the flood. I really don't get out much these days and seldom drive farther that the nearby shopping center; unaware that my car license was expired and was pulled over and ticketed for that and several related paperwork issues.

Already disabled from long ago, I found myself snowed in by the end of the day and soon trapped near the head of a flooded holler and alone with no electricity but able to make telephone contact.

First a friend and then police and rescue squads brought m heaters and propane as I lay huddled up in a chair with legs supported on an ottoman.

Sometime during the night I fell out of the chair and landed hard on what is my GOOD hip. Everyone came back but said they had been told not to bring anyone but the seriously injured to the hospital . . . so there I was -- up the creek without a paddle.

I then began to receive notifications that my failure to clear up the matter immediately was resulting in a series of fines and related costs.
