I never thought I’d be the person asking for help.
As a combat veteran who served 7 years active duty and is now 100% disabled from deployments, I’ve always been the one trying to help others not ask for anything in return. Through my shop, I built a reputation around helping my community and giving back whenever I could. I was even featured on KSL News for charity work because helping people who truly need it has always mattered to me.
Then life hit hard. When COVID happened, I lost my shop. Around that same time, I lost my brother to a tragic act of violence. To survive and keep my family afloat, I had to sell nearly everything I owned, including my tools. I spent so much time fighting just to survive that I feel like I missed precious time with my youngest son during his baby years.
That broke me in ways I can’t fully explain.
But I refused to quit. Today, I’m fighting to rebuild not just for me, but for my wife and kids. I’m building my dream shop on our property so I can create a future for my family and continue helping others the way I always have.
The concrete is already paid for. The building financing is approved. The only thing standing in the way now is the down payment for the building and replacing the tools I had to sell just to survive. Every dollar donated will go directly toward the shop and tools. I will keep everything completely transparent and public so everyone can see exactly where the money is going.
The truth is, my pride kept me from doing this for a long time. But after so many friends, family members, customers, and people in my community encouraged me to start a GoFundMe, I decided to finally put my faith in God, karma, and the kindness of people. I’m not asking for a handout. I’m asking for a chance to rebuild.
If you can donate even $1, share this post, or simply say a prayer for my family, it would mean more than words can explain.
Thank you for believing in God, my family, and this dream.
