I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my mom, Kendra, who has devoted over 30 years of her life to teaching and supporting students.

In September of 2025, she was asked—again—to resign or be “separated” from her position because the school district could not accommodate her ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements. After that, her life has completely turned.

She has had a year with no ability to work because of continuous health issues. Her heart continues to go into AFIB (even after cardioversion), CHF, and she’s had 6 surgeries for a massive infection. Along with 2 long term hospital stays and 5 other heart related stays some with insurance/some without. We are needing help from our tribe and her people to get through the hard times she’s going through.

Since then, she has been actively searching for a new job, but opportunities have been scarce. She’s now struggling to cover basic living expenses, including bills, while trying to regain stability.

My mom has always gone above and beyond—whether it was advocating for her students, supporting fellow teachers, or being a caregiver to her family. She’s poured her heart into helping others, and now, she’s the one who needs support.

Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to us and will go directly toward helping her get through these incredibly tough months.
