This weekend, while picking up a family member at the hospital, I was hit by an uninsured driver, which left my car totaled. Thank God, my daughter and I were not injured. However, my car is very important to my family, as I am a mom of 3 and a school teacher, and we all rely on my car to get us to and from school. My pride would usually not allow me to ask for money, but with the end of the school year approaching, I'm afraid that I will not be able to afford to put a down payment on another car, much less buy another car.
