A young girl taking care of her elderly father. In January of 2026, my almost 70 year old dad suffered from severe blood clots on his lungs and legs. I was so scared he wouldn't make it, but luckily my dad pulled through . . . not without complications though.

I do all I can, but he's struggling to eat, walk, get out of bed, is a fall risk and is loosing weight rapidly, despite my attempts to feed him his daily calories and protein intake. My time has been focus a lot on him in recent months, my hobbies and passions to publish my book are temporarily sidelined, and my personal savings for those projects have depleted drastically in my efforts to take care of him. Recently, my job has reduced my hours. In the last 5 weeks, I've worked 18 hours due to the shop struggling with sales.
