Hi, I’m Matthew Spears, a father of two boys—one is 10 months old and the other is 9 years old. My children’s mother and I live in separate but connected townhouses, working on ourselves and slowly learning to become one in Christ. We have a lot of growing and learning to do, but we’re committed to building a better life for our family.

A month ago, while riding my motorcycle back home from filling it up, someone ran me off the road. I’m thankful to be alive, but the bike is damaged and unsafe. Riding isn’t an option with my kids, and I had planned to trade it toward a family vehicle—now that’s gone. By God’s grace, I’ve found a vehicle in good condition, and the owner is willing to work out a payment plan, but I’d love to just get it done and over with.

I’m asking for help to cover the vehicle and the extra costs—registration, taxes, title transfers, tag, and insurance. Even better, a Godsent neighbor who owns a mechanics company has offered to help me with anything I don’t know how to fix—I just buy the parts at his discounted rate. This vehicle would be a life-changing gift this Christmas, giving me the ability to provide, protect, and bring stability to my children while continuing to grow as a family in Christ.
