Please help support my mom during the hardest chapter of her life.

She spent her entire career as a nurse, caring for others with compassion and dedication. She worked hard her whole life, rarely resting and never asking for anything in return. Now she is facing more challenges at once than any one person should ever have to bear, and she truly needs help.

A few years ago, my mom and my step-father bought a home they were so proud of. Not long after moving in, they received notices from the electric company requiring a full electrical update. Soon after, the hot water heater failed. Then a major water leak under the house led to extensive plumbing issues. With help from her children, she managed to get the required repairs done—but it stretched her beyond her limits.

Because she couldn’t afford to repair the water damage quickly enough, her homeowner’s insurance refused to cover the aftermath. As a result, she is now left with a hole in her kitchen floor and mold growing beneath the house—conditions unsafe for anyone, especially someone battling serious health issues.

And then everything became even more overwhelming.

My step-father, who has Alzheimer’s, can no longer work or care for himself. My mom, who has always been a caregiver to others, is now his primary support.

At the same time, she has her own health battles. She needs a hip replacement, but she cannot afford it, so it remains unscheduled. She lives in constant, daily pain. And recently, she received the devastating news that she has breast cancer and must begin treatment.

She is exhausted, hurting, and overwhelmed—but she refuses to give up.

We, her children, have helped as much as we can, but the financial strain has become impossible. The home repairs are urgent. The medical needs are critical. And she should not have to fight cancer while living in a home that is damaged, unsafe, and causing additional harm.

We are raising funds to help cover:

Breast cancer treatment costs

Critical home repairs (floor replacement, mold removal, structural fixes)

Future hip replacement surgery

Daily living needs for both her and my step-father, who cannot work
