Help a Brave Son Recover from Spinal Surgery

Donation protected
Good day, everyone!
I used to always try to help when I read ads asking for help for sick children or homeless animals.... Unfortunately, life has turned out so that today, I am asking everyone to help me. Let’s start from the beginning of my son’s health “journey.”
At the age of 12, my son was diagnosed with grade 1 kyphosis. We started rehabilitation, but in 2019, the terrible COVID-19 virus did not allow us to spend enough time in the hospital.
Then, in February 2022, a terrible war began in Ukraine.... For more than two years, we went to rehabilitation under the sounds of alarms and constant shelling.
But my son's condition was getting worse. The pain only subsided for a while...
In July 2023, we were diagnosed with grade 3 kyphosis with progression in the hospital and were granted disability.
In the spring of 2024, my son's condition was critical, both physically and mentally. From the explosions and shelling, he woke up every moment with fear. We didn't know if we would wake up alive in the morning.....
In June 2024, my son and I came to Chicago on the U4U program from Odesa, a beautiful city in southern Ukraine.
Our entire past life fit into two suitcases.....It's very difficult and scary when you've studied all your life (I have two higher educations), worked, built your home comfort and left with nothing, and you don't know when you'll be able to return home and whether there will be anywhere to return to....The first six months in Chicago were very difficult. By the time we got all the permits, I had found at least some kind of job and housing.
In February, my son underwent major spinal surgery in Chicago. I thank God and the doctor for giving us a chance to live on....Now, we are learning to walk, sit, and stand in a new way. A long rehabilitation lies ahead.....
I've been working since I came to Chicago, paying all my taxes. Unfortunately, it's very difficult. I only have enough money to rent a place and a little left over for food. I need financial support from the community.
I thank you for your kind hearts and ask for help. God bless you!!!
