This is a fundraiser for Atanda, a Black Queer Immigrant Knowledge worker. Atanda has been unemployed since last year April when their contract ended. They are on EI but have been struggling to pay rent and balance basic necessities. Their EI runs out in May, and while they are actively still looking for work, they have no familial network in the country. The current goal of this fundraiser is to ensure security for Atanda as they continue to search for work in the GTA. At the moment the goal is for 4k aiming to be reached before their employment insurance ends in April. These funds would allow them and their two cats to remain housed and secure. Any and all forms of community support are meaningful during this time.
