We are raising funds to help a young Belarusian family - Kirill and Katsiaryna Imbra who are currently in ICE detention, secure release on immigration bonds expected to be approximately $12,000.

Their situation only recently came to light after individuals who were detained with them and later released reached out to the Belarusian community for help. Since then, members of the Belarusian diaspora in Los Angeles and beyond have come together to support them in any way possible.

They were actively involved in civic activities in Belarus in 2020 and have consistently expressed their personal beliefs. Due to their background, returning to Belarus may put them at risk.

After more than 9 months in detention, their physical and emotional condition has significantly declined. Prolonged stress and limited access to proper nutrition have led to serious health concerns. We are doing everything we can to support them and give them hope for a fair legal process.

Immigration bonds must be paid quickly once set, so we are preparing funds in advance to avoid delays that could keep them in detention longer than necessary. The organizer will withdraw the funds and deliver payment directly to ICE as required.

If the bond amounts differ from expectations or are not granted, donations will support legal representation and essential needs after release, such as housing, transportation, medical care, and communication.

If the bonds are refunded at the end of proceedings, the obligor intends to donate the returned funds to organizations supporting people in immigration detention.
