A couple of weeks ago on a recent plane ride, I met a Venezuelan family who is seeking asylum here in the US. A heart wrenching story, leaving incredibly challenging conditions in Venezuela, traveling 7 months, including giving birth by c-section 20 days before boarding that plane, with only the clothes on their back. On their way to New Jersey to meet family they are beginning a new life here, applying for asylum that will almost certainly take years. A beautiful family - and want to support them as they begin their journey here. Please consider supporting. They cannot work legally yet and this will help to provide them food, clothing and shelter until they obtain a work permit.
