My name is George Zuganelis, and I am a 78 year old widower who has spent a lifetime working hard, living honestly, and doing my best to build a secure future and never imagined I would have to ask for help. After a lifetime of working hard, living honestly, and trying to provide for my future, I have found myself in a situation that has turned my life upside down.

Over the course of a year and a half, I became the victim of a cruel online scam. Someone gained my trust by promising they could help raise more than enough money to secure my future. They convinced me to continue investing my own money while assuring me that the fundraising was just around the corner. I believed those promises because I wanted to believe there was hope.

Instead, those promises were lies.

By the time I realized I had been deceived, I had lost approximately $45,000 a devastating amount that represented much of what I had worked so hard to save. At my age, there is no realistic way to replace those savings through employment. Starting over at 77 is something I never thought I would face.

Losing my wife was one of the hardest experiences of my life. I never expected that I would also lose my financial security. The combination of grief, loneliness, and financial loss has been overwhelming, but I refuse to give up hope.

I am asking for your help so I can rebuild my life with dignity. My first priority is to secure a place of my own where I can live safely and independently. The funds from this campaign will also help cover essential living expenses, replace the savings I lost to fraud, and restore the financial stability that was taken from me. My hope is not simply to recover from this tragedy but to regain enough security to live my remaining years without the constant fear of financial hardship.

My fundraising goal reflects both my immediate needs and my desire to create long term financial stability so I can support myself without becoming a burden to others. Every dollar raised will be used to help me rebuild my life after this devastating loss.
