My name is Rimma, and I'm reaching out to ask for your help in supporting a 4-year-old girl who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in January 2023, and her single mother, living in Vancouver, Canada, who is facing immense financial and emotional challenges in caring for her daughter.

Since the diagnosis, this little family's life has been turned upside down. Managing diabetes is a constant and expensive process, particularly for young children, and Y., the girl's mother, is struggling to keep up with the demands of monitoring her daughter's blood sugar levels, administering insulin shots, and providing her with specialized food. At the same time, she cannot work as much as before, as her daughter requires constant care and attention.

My friend Y. is a devoted and loving mother who is doing everything she can to provide for her daughter under incredibly challenging circumstances. However, the costs of diabetes management, combined with the father's lack of financial support and the added burden of a complex divorce process, have left her in a precarious financial situation.

Our goal is to provide financial support for Y. and her daughter, so that Y. can focus on giving her daughter the care she needs without worrying about the financial burden. Donations will go towards covering the cost of specialized food, as well as legal fees related to the divorce.

We believe that every little bit helps, and any donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in their lives. With your support, this family can get the help they need to manage this challenging situation and move forward with hope and resilience.

Due to personal reasons, my friend has requested to remain anonymous and not provide her name or photo. She feels uncomfortable with this fundraiser and doesn’t like to ask for help, but I know how this financial support could be important for her.
