Late last night, an unimaginable tragedy changed Leana’s life forever.

Her father, who had been courageously battling cancer and was receiving hospice care in his apartment, tragically did not survive a fire that broke out in his building. In the same devastating incident, their cat, Mittens, was also lost.

Leana and her mother, who both lived in the same apartment complex, have now lost their homes as well. Their apartments are no longer livable, and they are facing the overwhelming reality of starting over from nothing.

In a matter of hours, Leana and her mother have endured the loss of a loved one, their home, and their sense of stability.

We are coming together as her work family—alongside friends, family, and community—to support them during this incredibly difficult time.

All funds raised will go directly to Leana and her mother to assist them as they begin to rebuild.

Funds will go toward immediate housing and temporary accommodations, clothing and daily necessities, replacing essential household items, and helping them begin to rebuild their lives.
