Help 5280 Freedom School Get Summer Camp Ready!

Hi, my name is Marz and I am the Program Director for the 5280 Freedom School Summer Camp. With the arrival of summer, we're preparing to welcome Black children from all over the Denver Metro Area to our camp- a liberatory summer experience where friendships are forged, leadership is cultivated, and dreams take flight.
However, this year presents a daunting challenge: because of flood damage to our building, the 5280 Freedom School needs to raise $10,000. Not only will funds go towards building repair, but they will also ensure that every child, regardless of financial circumstance, can experience the magic of a camp that centers Black people, knowledge, and principles.
With the support of generous donors like you, we will offer scholarships, fund essential programs, and ready the damaged parts of our building for summer programming activities.
With community support, we know that we can overcome the current challenges facing the camp, and provide a summer experience filled with joy, exploration, and growth for Denver's Black children.
