URGENT HELP NEEDED! My name is Corey Moses, and I am reaching out on behalf of my kids' mother and her five children, two of whom are mine. On December 1st, they were evicted from their home, leaving them with nowhere to go and no support from her family. I happened to be visiting my children for Thanksgiving and stayed a couple of extra days, which allowed me to help them in this crisis. Since then, I have been paying for hotel rooms to keep them safe and sheltered, but my funds will run out soon.
Right now, they are staying in a hotel room in Virginia, but after tomorrow, they will have nowhere to go. I am doing everything I can to keep our children together and safe, but I cannot continue to cover these costs alone or get them to Louisiana, where I can support them better. They had to leave almost everything behind, bringing only a few clothes. The children are 17, 15, 14, 12, and 5 years old, and they deserve to feel safe and have a roof over their heads.
We are asking for help with temporary shelter, food, and basic necessities for the children, as well as transportation to Louisiana, where finding a home will be more affordable. Once there, funds will help with getting them into an apartment and providing winter supplies until we can get situated. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a huge difference. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser will help more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer during this emergency. I am doing my best to help, because when the mother of my children is in a tough situation, so are my kids.
