Ten immigrant families in Minneapolis, MN, are facing an unprecedented crisis due to the current ICE occupation in MN. For over a month, many of our immigrant owned and run businesses have been shuttered, workers have been unable to safely leave their homes to go to work, and the loss of income from this unfolding crisis has created immense financial uncertainty.
Families are struggling to afford their basic necessities; food, utilities, rent, etc. Without immediate, low-barrier mutual aid, many will soon be facing eviction notices, utility shut-offs, potentially resulting in homelessness.
Our goal is to provide low barrier, immediate, simple access to funding so individuals and families can remain in their homes-the only place they have to feel any sense of safety. Funds raised will go directly to landlords and utility companies, with those experiencing the most urgent needs—eviction notices, past due mortgage and rent bills, utility shut-offs receiving aid first.
Updates will be provided as needs are met, so you can see the real impact your generosity is having. If your unable to donate, please consider sharing so we can get the word out.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity—it means more than words can express. ♡♡♡.
