Help Us Vet 4 Rescued Cats from Sheepshead Bay NYCHA building.

Recently, 4 cats were rescued from an abandoned daycare inside a NYCHA building in Sheepshead Bay — a situation that sparked major community concern and media attention. These are 4 of 5 cats who were trapped and are now safe in my care, but their journey is far from over.

Here’s where things stand:

3 cats were already spayed/neutered.

1 male cat was not neutered — he has since been fixed, but he’s facing serious health issues.

This boy is suffering from severe stomatitis and urgently needs full-mouth dental extractions to relieve his pain. He also tested abnormally on a ProBNP test, which may point to underlying heart issues — something we’ll investigate after dental.

All 4 cats still need full veterinary workups to ensure they’re healthy and ready to be safely relocated to a barn home, where they can live peaceful, supported lives.

I’m fundraising for:

1. Full-mouth dental surgery

2. Bloodwork and medical exams for all 4 cats

3. Vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment

4. Transport and barn relocation costs
