<div>Recently, 4 cats were rescued from an abandoned daycare inside a NYCHA building in Sheepshead Bay — a situation that sparked major community concern and media attention. These are 4 of 5 cats who were trapped and are now safe in my care, but their journey is far from over.
</div>
<div>Here’s where things stand:

<div>3 cats were already spayed/neutered.
</div>
<div>1 male cat was not neutered — he has since been fixed, but he’s facing serious health issues.
</div>
<div><strong>This boy is suffering from severe stomatitis and urgently needs full-mouth dental extractions to relieve his pain.</strong> He also tested abnormally on a ProBNP test, which may point to underlying heart issues — something we’ll investigate after dental.
</div>
<div>All 4 cats still need full veterinary workups to ensure they’re healthy and ready to be safely relocated to a barn home, where they can live peaceful, supported lives.
</div>
