Help 3 boys visit their mom after a tragic accident.

I am setting up this GoFundMe with permission from my aunt, their grandmother & their current guardian, in hopes that Emily's boys are able to make the trip to see their mother who is in critical condition from a car wreck that happened on July 3rd Details of the wreck are in the pictures uploaded. These boys have already been through so much, lost so much. There is another GoFundMe circulating for Emily, but that will not be going to the boys to visit their mother.

I do not know their mother well but I know these boys and I know the love they have for her. I know that after losing their father they have struggled and they have stuck together. They have asked to go and see her with aching hearts and past memories coming to haunt them with recent events.

A message from my aunt:

(Hi, my name is Crystal. In 2022, my son passed away and left behind his three boys — ages now 12, 11, and 9. They’ve already experienced such a heartbreaking loss.

Recently, their mother was in a terrible car accident. She is currently in the hospital on life support with significant brain injuries.

The boys are in Oklahoma, and their mom is in Indianapolis, Indiana. We’re trying to raise funds to get them there so they can be by her side, show their love, and bring comfort during this incredibly difficult time.

This trip is important for their healing and for their connection with their mom. We’re asking for help to cover travel expenses, lodging, and anything else needed to make this visit possible.

What we know:

Her injuries are severe. She has a traumatic brain injury with brain shearing, a broken neck, two fractures in her back, a broken clavicle, and a broken ankle. She also developed pneumonia.

Emily started breathing on her own and hasn’t needed the ventilator. And today—she opened her eyes. The driver who passed away was her boss. We assume she was on her way home from work hitching a ride, but that part is unsure. I will update as we get more information.
