Help Us Send 200 Rural Farmers' Children Back to School in Liberia

In the heart of rural Liberia, many children are growing up with big dreams—but without the tools to achieve them. Their parents are smallholder farmers who work hard every day to feed their families and their communities. But despite their labor, they struggle to afford even the most basic school needs for their children.

LCFAO – Liberia (Local Community Food Advocate Organization) is raising funds to support 200 children of rural farmers to return to school this academic year. Too many of these children risk being left behind due to poverty, lack of school supplies, and unpaid fees.

We want to change that—and you can help.

Why We’re Raising Funds

In many parts of Liberia, education is not free. Children need uniforms, books, bags, pens, shoes—and in most cases, parents must pay tuition or fees, even at public schools.

With low income from farming, most rural families simply can’t afford it.

Exercise books, pens, pencils, bags

Tuition and fee support

Hygiene kits and lunch support.

My name is Alfred T. Gbedee II, founder and Executive Director of LCFAO – Liberia. I am a youth advocate, agriculture promoter, and community organizer passionate about creating opportunities for underserved rural families.

LCFAO – Liberia is a youth-led, grassroots nonprofit organization working to empower farmers, support food security, and invest in education across rural Liberia. We believe “Farmers are Future Sustainability Leaders,” and their children deserve a fair chance at success.
