Some fun needed 2 years on dialysis

Hello, my name is Suzanne, and I am truly thankful to anyone reading this. I have never asked for anything in my life before, but I am now asking for help on behalf of my beautiful little girl Emelye. She was such a happy-go lucky little girl with her whole future ahead of her. Sadly, in September 2022, our lives were turned upside down when I noticed something wasn't quite right with Emelye. I immediately arranged a doctor's appointment and specifically asked them to check Emelye's kidneys but was told that wasn't going to happen as it was a bladder infection and not to worry. However, we did worry and took Emelye back for a second opinion. Then on the third appointment she was immediately rushed to the hospital by the doctor who had seen her. Then she spent nearly two months in ICU fighting for her life.

Emelye has now spent two years on dialysis at the LGI in Leeds, battling complete kidney and heart failure. She has only just been put on the transplant list, but sadly she is in a small percentile that is quite difficult to match with a donor. As you can imagine, Emelye doesn't smile as much as she once did. With my husband working as much as he can and spending each Saturday on dialysis with Emelye, and me three times during the week with Emelye on dialysis in the hospital, we have struggled. The hospital has sadly pulled funding for the play team that would normally brighten up Emelye's day with lots of fun activities like painting, movies, making buns, and slime, which made Emelye's time on dialysis a bit more fun.

We are also trying to look after our other four girls and a baby boy in a three-bedroom rented property, which is proving to be a very stressful environment for Emelye. This means she can't have a home dialysis machine due to sharing with her two sisters in such a small room. We are struggling to make ends meet and make Emelye's life a bit brighter. We are trying to raise funds to take Emelye on a holiday she will never forget when she finally gets her transplant, and maybe take Emelye out for the day on Sunday when we all finally get to spend it together as a family to make life a little bit more bearable for her.

Many, many thanks to any kind soul that helps our daughter Emelye have a brighter future. We would truly appreciate any donations given. Again, thank you and God bless you.
