Hey guys with a deep heart and sorrow I wanted to share this situation that has been unfolding with my younger cousin and younger sibling. They are both of Muslim descent and they are queer and trans; My cousin, N and sister A (Names redacted as they are yet to turn 18) are in varying yet dangerous situations, with N being forced against their will to stay at a predominantly Islamic country. N is facing abuse and has been threatened with an arranged marriage. We have informed local authorities and have a get out plan for this individual. A has been withdrawn from education for the last 5 years against their will, this has caused them to miss out on their GCSE's and they have been constantly trapped in an unsafe and physically abusive household.

We have started this to fund me to help them with the cost-of-living crisis once they reach safety. They are a minor (17), and will need money to start a new life as its likely they will not be able to bring any documents with them. The costs of this GoFundMe will cover documents, clothes, travel(flights), and therapy for the abuse that they are receiving.

The money will help them leave an abusive and toxic environment to a life where they are seen and heard. It will also cover any educational and legal costs against their abusers. We are in contact with the police and social services. We plan to house them and support them into the next step of their lives.

Every donation, share or acknowledgement of this go fund me will be appreciated. Escaping this situation means they will be escaping with nothing but the clothes on their back. Being from such a controlled and abusive environment, they never had the finances or possessions that they could use as back burners. These minors will starting anew with nothing but their wisdom; they will not have access to finances, food, accommodation and personal records/identification despite being a citizen of the UK. They will both turn 18 this year and as an estranged family member myself, we are all the support they have, however as a student I am unable to fund all of these costs.

Any unused funds will kept as savings for them both to help deal with the cost-of-living crisis. It will be used for things such as an ISA or used for educational supplies.
