Meet Ava Barrett, a bright, playful, and spunky 12-year-old who lights up every room she walks into. She loves to play sports and hang out with her friends, like any 7th grader would. Ava is an identical twin to her sister Anna and a little sister to her brother Bryson who is currently at The Citadel.

On June 13th, 2025, Ava and her family received the heartbreaking news that she has been diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Despite the challenges ahead, Ava has already shown incredible strength and courage. She is truly a fighter, facing each day with the same energy and spirit that make her so loved by everyone around her. She can no longer go to school, see her friends, or play volleyball like she once could. Her everyday pleasures are a burden, from running around and doing her hair like she once was able to do. This has definitely impacted the social and outgoing little girl that we knew.

As her family focuses on supporting Ava through treatments, hospital stays, and recovery, the financial burden of medical bills and ongoing expenses continues to grow. We are asking for support to help ease this burden, so the Barrett family can focus on what matters most…Ava’s healing and well-being.
