10-year-old James Henkle’s loving mother, Kristy, sadly lost her valiant battle with breast cancer, just days after her 41st birthday. As James was raised solely by Kristy, his best friend’s parents, Michael and Noel Napolitano, of Andover, Massachusetts, have jumped to James’s rescue and taken him in, planning to now start the adoption process. In addition to James, Michael and Noel have four other children in 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 8th grades, so they will have quite a full house.

 

We’re asking for donations to give to the Napolitanos to help with James’s education and other extraordinary needs (medical expenses, therapy, adoption costs, etc.) that he may have to help lighten the load of the Napolitanos, who have clearly already done so much. Thanks in advance for anything you can do to help brighten James’s future.

(This GoFundMe was created by Sara Blais, who is the PTO President at Bancroft Elementary where the Napolitanos and James Henkle attend school, and is a friend of both the Napolitano and Henkle families.  Sara is also an attorney who worked with Kristy Henkle prior to her death and is now working with the Napolitanos for them to obtain legal guardianship).
