Hello Gardeners, Partners and Friends!

For gardeners, we suggest a minimum donation of $40 per plot. Friends and community partners, we appreciate whatever you are able to give to maintain and enhance the garden.

Funds will be used for garden bed repairs, mulch, soil and compost, tools, general maintenance and other garden activities. Additional funds will help with waivers and scholarships.

In addition to providing garden plots to individuals/families, Hello Howard Community Garden harvests and has delivered fresh produce to Howard Area Community Center, A Just Harvest and Food Not Bombs. Over the past seven years we have given over 3800 lbs. of food to our Rogers Park community.

Donations are held by NeighborSpace, our fiscal partner.

NeighborSpace is the only nonprofit land trust in Chicago that preserves and sustains gardens on behalf of dedicated community groups. We support community gardens - through property ownership, insurance, water, stewardship, education, tool lending, project planning, fundraising support, troubleshooting and more - so that community groups can focus on gardening and on their community building vision, generating food, beauty, play, health and safety for their neighborhoods.
