Help Coach Pat Get Back On His Feet After Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Coach Pat lost his home in the Eaton Fire. A lifelong Altadena resident and rock of the community, Coach Pat has coached track and field at Pasadena City College since the '80s.
Changing the lives of so many, including myself, Pat was a father figure, on and off the track, always giving advice and teaching those around him to work for what they want.
When the fires started, Pat and his wife thought they would be safe. In the blink of an eye, the fire took their home and everything they owned. Fifty years of ownership taken in a few minutes.
I am raising these funds so he has at least a little bit of a foundation to rebuild what he had. Although it won’t put a dent in what he lost, this is our time to give back to him as he gave to us so many times.
As a PCC track and field alum and Division 1 athlete, I would be nothing without this man. My name is Brennan Doyle. I met Coach Pat in 2016 and he saved my life. At the lowest point I have ever been, he made me trust in myself. Being brought into the Altadena community has been the greatest blessing of my life - and this man represents all that is great about this beautiful city and its people.
All funds in their entirety will go to Coach Pat and his wife - I will post a video giving him the money as well. He hates handouts, but this is not a handout. This is the community having his back - something he would do for us without thinking.
Please help me help him. All love, Dena Strong ❤️
I want to clarify - Coach Pat was my collegiate track coach at PCC before I moved on to Division 1, but he is a mentor and family to me. If you know Coach Pat, you know he won't cash a check, and he does not know how to do a bank transfer. I will be taking out the amount of this fundraiser in cash - counting it on video - and delivering it to Coach Pat in person where I will take a photo etc. He will spend these funds on starting to rebuild his life after everything he lost. He lost his home, everything he owns, and needs to start fresh. This will help.
