My name is Jess and I am fundraising for my mother in law, Helen. The woman who knows everyone and would do anything for anyone.

Last year she had a rough year caring for her dad who sadly passed in December, she swore that 2025 would be her year.. Just not like this.

2025 came with a surprise, Starting good with turning the big 60 and a trip to Poland with her Sister & friends, Helen was having the best year but after a few hospital visits and checks Helen was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer.

In August Helen had a total hysterectomy, removal of lymph nodes and appendix and anything else they could remove, (a long a painful recovery) and this Thursday she had her first course of Chemotherapy. She has been told she will lose her hair, and if you know Helen this is her worst nightmare.

Helen went out with some friends to a wig specialist for chemo patients, for the wig she wants (including the care kit) she has been told it will be around £2500, not exactly money she has in her back pocket so I am asking for help from the Liphook locals (and further), the Sainsbury’s shoppers who will know Helen from her years of service in our local, please, if you can afford to, donate towards the costs of the wig, which will be her forever hair until her real hair grows back.
