Helen and Pete Howlett’s Van
Donation protected
A few weeks ago, my Mum and Dad (Helen and Pete Howlett) had their beloved van stolen in the night. This was no ordinary van; they had converted it into a camper van. However, it was more than just a plaything for them. As their only mode of transport, it was a true utility vehicle – whether that was carting around wood for Dad, artwork for Mum or allowing them to travel at their own pace around the country to visit friends and family.
It was their home from home, and indeed, many of their prized possessions were taken too at the time of the theft.
Helen and Pete have been deeply affected by the loss of their belongings and the freedom that the van gave to them, but also, they have been affected by the invasion of their privacy.
The insurance has come through with an offer which, unfortunately, is falling well short of what would be required to restore what they have lost.
If you are able and willing, we would gratefully appreciate your donations that will go some way in helping Helen and Pete purchase another van to convert and replace some of the stolen items.
Many thanks
