Heinze Travisty - Paducah and Natchitoches

Update March 24, 2024. (Not currently accepting new donations.)
A few days ago Travis's trespassing charge in McCracken County, Kentucky was set to be dismissed. See the wacky, unlawful arrest here: https://youtu.be/aFEJI_XFwsc?si=jarY8iC2ryDRrarX. Travis prenegotiated great terms and applied for the "deferred dismissal" program, offering that he would never in the next six months (to September 12, 2024) commit any criminal activity in McCracken County. Pfft! Travis had no intention in staying there anyway. So attention turns back to Natchitoches, Louisiana, where a status update hearing in May might resolve the question of whether the unethical prosecutor Cloyd is going to press for a new trial. We are not currently accepting new donations and I have updated the Goal to reflect that.

Recapping McCracken: Travis was arrested on January 3, 2024 for parking and resting in a church parking lot. He was charged with trespassing. Prosecutors played illegal and unethical games with production of evidence. Travis filed many motions, including a motion to recuse the prosecutors that exposed wrongdoings of prosecutors Cade Foster and Craig Newbern, as well as Judge Todd Jones. The court did a catch-and-kill on that motion and refused to file it.

Back to Natchitoches: Until further update, any remaining funds will be applied to legal defense in Natchitoches and further investigation of wrongdoings, including unrecorded criminal trials by Zoom video, by judgelet Owsley's city court.

Summing up fundraising: Since the January 3, 2024 arrest complicated Travis's defense with two concurrent matters pending (McCracken & Natchitoches) we raised $2456.
We had raised $20,329 in the first stage, with only Natchitoches in play. That money has been applied most efficiently in Travis's defense. $15k was the fee for the appeal, and that has been a bargain as attorney Philip B. Adams of Shreveport has taken a strong personal interest in Travis and has provided pro bono service far beyond his original obligation. Quite simply, he has not been paid enough by any standard measure. The remainder of the money past $15k has almost covered the costs of transcripts and follow-up records requests that are revealing improprieties in the Natchitoches City Court.

Original Story: Travis Heinze, homeless and living in his car, arrived in Natchitoches ("nacka-dish"), Louisiana, on January 22, 2022, and within 30 minutes of his arrival in town he had been arrested in the public library for asking the police why they wanted his name. Now he's serving 30 days in prison.
Travis had entered the Natchitoches Parish Public Library and looked around before setting up his computer. A librarian felt slightly uneasy with Travis's appearance and conduct (looking around, declining a request for help) and so phoned the non-emergency line of the NPD. The librarian's harmless request for an officer was magnified by the dispatcher to be [white male, suspicious, green army jacket, casing the library]. As you can see in the photo, Travis is wearing a green pullover sweat shirt.
Travis was arrested for a slight delay in providing his name while he asked Officer Miller (pictured) to explain to him what exactly he was doing that was "suspicious". Officer Miller, having no "reasonable suspicion" other than the manufactured facts from a dispatcher, had Travis in handcuffs 95 seconds after his arrival to the magazine room of the library where Travis was using his laptop computer.
The 30-day sentence was decided by Judge Owsley, who campaigned for Area 1 judge with a map of Area 1, outlined in blue, with the label "AREA 1: THIN BLUE AREA". (***)
I flew to Houston and drove to Natchitoches to be Travis's legal secretary, helping to prepare and organize his documents for his April 11, 2022 trial. I was the only Travis supporter in attendance. The trial was a pageantry of nonsense, with multiple witnesses testifying about how much Travis scared them. "Boston bomber", "Mass shootings". Yet none of them ever said a word about any of this fear to police when it mattered: before Travis was arrested. And the absurdity of their accusations is demonstrable, thanks to Travis's own cameras, police body worn camera video, and the April 19, 2022 publication "Cops and Judge Fail at Freedom" by The Lackluster Channel on Youtube:

Travis needs our help appealing and reversing his conviction, by asking the Third Circuit Court of Appeals to review the sham trial and rule that it is clearly established that filming the police cannot form the basis of "reasonable suspicion that a crime is being committed."
(Edit: 7-day update: I have updated the goal from $15k to $18k plus GoFundMe fees*. Travis has hired super-intelligent, talented attorney who believes in Travis, and he went straight to work, and his fair $15k fixed fee will push this appeal through to the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals and/or La. Supreme Court. The additional $3k is for other costs and transcripts, including the $1500 trial transcript.)
Officer Miller admitted in trial that, prior to the arrest, the only information he had about Travis was from the dispatcher, being "suspicious white male casing the library". Of course he left out the "green army jacket." Yet in Miller's undated (!) report, he fabricated nonexistent pre-arrest details of "acting weird", being rude to the librarian, "checking all of the building’s exits", "attempted to gain access to the third-floor but was unsuccessful", "while unpacking his backpacks, the subject made efforts to conceal whatever contents he was taking out from anyone around him." By Miller's own admission in trial, he arrested Travis having none of this supposed information.
Travis is in jail. He is far from wealthy. He ekes out an existence with a small YouTube income from "Lets Exchange IDs with Travis Heinze" and a travel channel I can't find. Please help reverse this injustice.
All funds will go to pay the attorney fees and costs for the appeal that enforces a right we should all enjoy: Our Fourth Amendment right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures. That's it. Private donors have split with me my ~ $1000 costs of rental car, gas, hotels, and copying.
It will probably take Travis a few months to rebuild his modest YouTube income, so your help directly there will be appreciated.
Travis's YouTube is "Lets Exchange IDs with Travis Heinze": https://www.youtube.com/c/TravisHeinzeAcuMagnet
Some have donated directly there; I added the top level of Membership at $24.99/mo. Of course, you'll receive no benefits of bonus membership content while Travis is in jail.

  * We seek to raise $18,000 after fees. As of 1pm CST April 26, the average donation here was $35.83.GoFundMe charges 2.9% plus $0.30 per donation.Proceeding at the same average donation sizing, $18,699 / $35.83 = 521.88 donations are needed. At $.30 per donation that's $157 in per-donation fees.Plus, at 2.9% of $ 18,699, that is $542 in percentage-based fees. Thus total fees are estimated at $542 + $157 = $699. If we raise $18,699 in total, that leaves $18,000 after fees. Quid pluribus per anum, digis clamato.

*** A donor expresses concern that my "THIN BLUE AREA" description is misleading. You decide for yourself:
Owsley's campaign poster map, displayed on his Facebook page that was only taken down after Travis's story erupted, was labeled as
     AREA 1
WITHIN BLUE AREA   (Fonts differ: of importance is the "A" of AREA is directly above the "T" of "WITHIN".
The map was then cropped. Not by me, but by the campaign itself, leaving the label as
AREA 1
THIN BLUE AREA
Coincidence? You decide. If judgelet OwlSized wanted to be transparent, why did he delete his Facebook account?
