HECHO CON LAS MANOS

Introduction:

Welcome to the heartwarming story of "Hecho con las Manos," a grassroots initiative born out of a passion for empowering mothers in need in Escuintla and Masagua, two departments of Guatemala. With dedication and a vision for change, we've created a private project that not only provides employment opportunities but also fosters a sense of community and hope for these women and their kids.

Our Mission:

At Hecho con las Manos, our mission is twofold: to uplift mothers facing economic hardships and to produce high-quality handmade products that resonate with the spirit of Guatemala. We believe in the power of craftsmanship and the resilience of women, and it is our goal to harness these forces for positive change.

Empowering Mothers:

In communities where opportunities are scarce, mothers often bear the weight of providing for their families. Many are faced with the difficult choice of either staying at home to care for their children or seeking work that often pays meager wages. Hecho con las Manos offers an alternative—a way for mothers to earn a sustainable income while still being present for their families.

Through our project, these mothers receive fair compensation for their work, allowing them to support their families financially without sacrificing precious time with their loved ones. By providing stable employment, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and empower these women to build brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Craftsmanship and Community:

Our products are more than just goods; they are a reflection of the artistic talent of Guatemala. From intricately woven textiles to beautifully handcrafted bags and accesories, each item tells a story of love and effort.

But beyond the products themselves, Hecho con las Manos is about building connections and fostering a sense of community. Our workshops provide a space for mothers to come together, share their skills, and support one another. Through collaboration and solidarity, we are not only creating beautiful products but also building a stronger, more resilient community.

Why We Need Your Support:

While Hecho con las Manos has made great strides, there is still much work to be done. We are seeking your support to help us improve our workshop facilities, provide additional training and resources for our artisans, and expand our reach to serve even more mothers in need.
Your support is crucial in expanding also our educational initiatives. We aim to provide literacy, numeracy, and vocational skills training to empower these women. Additionally, we're committed to offering comprehensive sex education for this communities, ensuring they have the knowledge to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.

With your help, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these women and their families. Together, we can empower mothers, transform communities, and create a brighter future for all.

Thank you for joining us on this journey.
