Heathers Dogs are Hero’s after House Fire
Donation protected
At approximately 10am on December 20, 2024, Heather's house caught fire. Something that everyone hears about and never thinks a tragedy like this could hit so close to home. Her daughter, Bell, was home from school along with their two beloved dogs, Cooper and Leo. Bell is a heavy sleeper, and those two dogs are heroes, waking Bell up to save herself, costing both the dogs their lives. Bell was met with a thick black wall of smoke upon opening her second-story bedroom door. She was able to open her window and yell for help. By the grace of God, there was ONE person walking the sidewalk near their home who ran to get a ladder and assist Bell to climb out her bedroom window to safety. The fire is still under investigation; however, it originated in the kitchen shortly after Heather left for work this morning.
Of course, there is no good time for tragedy to strike, but the holiday season makes things that much heavier. Many of their belongings will be a total loss due to heavy smoke damage. We will try to salvage as much as we can. Please find it in your heart to pay it forward to their family to help them recover from this horrible event.
