Help Heather Fight LAM

Hello! My name is Amy Fallucca, and I'm fundraising for my dear friend, Heather Montgomery Kaster.

Heather was diagnosed with an extremely rare lung disease, Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), earlier this year. She is currently in the hospital where her doctors will try to slow the progression with medication once her body can tolerate it. Ultimately she will need a double lung transplant.

LAM is a rare, cystic lung disease that primarily affects young women. LAM is so rare that it's unknown how often it really occurs but during a three-year study by researchers, fewer than 250 people with LAM were identified in the U.S.

Heather has undergone multiple procedures and has spent a great deal of time in the hospital. She has bravely dealt with many complications, and her lungs have collapsed several times. Needless to say, this has been extremely difficult physically, emotionally, and financially for Heather and her husband, Ryan.

As you all know, Heather is one of the most caring, kindest people on this planet. Arguably the best massage therapist in Wisconsin, she has dedicated her life to helping others heal and be well. If you've spent any amount of time around her, you know that she has the most amazing energy and attitude. She is a great listener and is always there for her friends and family. I have known Heather for almost 20 years, and I can't recall seeing her without a smile on her face. She has given all of us so much love and support over the years. It's time we return the favor!

We'd like to raise as much as possible for her - at least $10,000. We would appreciate your contribution - big or small. We want Heather and Ryan to use the money for whatever they need - medical bills, living expenses, and just generally anything that can help ease the stress of this situation.
