On Saturday July 30th, 2022, one of our dearest friends and co-workers, Bob Hart, was hospitalized due to a sudden stroke.

Bob Hart is genuinely one of the nicest individuals you’ll ever meet. People fondly refer to him at work sometimes as “Governor Bob” for his impeccable ability to connect with anyone he comes across along his daily travels. He’s always willing to stop and lend a hand to those who need it, and never has a shortage of wise words, anecdotes, jokes, or whatever else you need from him to help you get through the day. His own family members have even said, if Bob traveled to another country he has never been to, he would find either A) someone he knows there to talk to for hours on end, or B) someone brand new to make friends with.

Bob’s presence (and unfortunate lack of now) is one that is immediately felt. He is no stranger to telling you exactly how he feels and how that no matter what the day may bring he is ready to hang in there like a “hair in a biscuit.” Even though he will humorously and blatantly deny it outright, Bob spends a lot of his own free time taking care of his own family members and friends with that big heart of gold of his we all love so much. When he’s not doing that, you can catch him playing pool (where he’s even gone to Las Vegas to compete in tournaments!) cooking delicious meals for himself and his loved ones through his love of food, maxing and relaxing with his numerous friends and family members, and moving and shaking with the best and youngest of them out there. It is an unspoken fact of life: once you meet Bob Hart, you love and respect Bob Hart.

He is currently staying at Novant Health and has quite a lengthy recovery and rehabilitation period ahead of him. If anyone is deserving of our extra love and support at this time, it’s Bob and his family.

All funds raised through this campaign will go directly towards Bob and the Hart family to help alleviate the medical costs and provide whatever Bob and family may need, much like how he works so hard to do for those around him.
